There are great many people whom just stand out in every crowd, they
just naturally get everyone's attention. There are a great many people
whom everyone watches and takes note of their accomplishments on a larger
or global scale. In that same respect, there a great many people that never
stand out in any crowd, whom no one takes very much notice of their accomplishments.
Jimmy was among the latter of those choices. He did not stand out in
many crowds, unless it were a height competition. He was soft spoken and
had very few words to say in a crowd. He was a quiet man, of deep thought.
Where Jimmy stood out was not in the crowd, but in the one on one relationships, it was there that he shined. He was the most considerate, giving young man I have ever known.
He was a member of My evangelism ministry teams, he was a clown in the clown ministry for children , and a puppeteer, also utilizing his talents in black light puppeteering. He was a christian mime, ministering to hearts and souls through his talent as a mime. For youth Ministry he was a praise leader in my youth revival travel team, as well as for the most part, he was the setup team. He was integral in my youth & Children's training ministry and was always there assisting me when we were teaching conferences.
He was one of the best camera men for video production that any producer
could have asked for, and he spent a solid year, day in and day out, assisting
me with the remodeling of my house.
He would drive 30 minutes one way just to pay a visit, and when he
would arrive at my home to find I was not there, he would simply go across
the street to my parents house and find himself at home, he was that much
a part of our family.
In speaking with numerous people last night, I learned that Jimmy had a catch phrase, it was one befitting his one on one skills. He would always find his way to people who needed help of any kind, and his catch phrase was: "What do you need done?"
"What do you need done?", and it did not matter how great or small the task, he would take it on himself.
In this society when it seems that everyone is looking out for number
one, it was always refreshing to be in contact with someone like Jim-Bob
who was always looking out for everyone else.
There are so many lives that he touched, so many souls that were changed,
so many churches that owe him thanks. His life was a testimony, and he
makes his greatest statement for Christ lying here today, when in fact,
he is not here, but he is in a place that makes some of us jealous of him,
experiencing the Joy and splendor that is Heaven, in the presence of God.
The statement he makes is to those of us he loved, whom do not know Christ as saviour, is this, we are not guaranteed tomorrow, no matter how young you are, but if you know Jesus as your saviour, your are guanranteed eternity in Heaven.
"Bubba" my friend, I will dearly miss the times we spent ministering
to the lost, touring on the road, weeks of touring in the gospel goose,
the thousands of lives we saw changed.
Jimbo my buddy, I look back at the endless weeks of carpentry, sheet
rock finishing, tearing down and building up the very home in which I now
live.
Jim-Bob my brother, I remember the many hours we sat talking about
Life, Love, Soul, and Spirit; talking of how great your Mom is and how
much you loved your Dad.
Many are the meals we brake bread together, and many are the miles
we rode in your "Beloved" truck.
The Krusades, youth Camps, the video shoots, Youth revivals.
We spent so much time together, we grew so close.
I could spend my time looking back and feeling the pain of your absence,
which is great, no doubt...
But I would rather look forward to a time when we will never again
be apart.
I know where you are now, so I say, "'Til we meet again".
